Any emergency (police, fire, ambulance) should be reported immediately through a call to the number 112.
The operator will speak in Maltese and English, will collect your data and the information about the situation. Try to stay calm to tell exactly what happened. It is very important to give them a phone number where they can get back in touch with you. Explain the address and indicate nearby sights to facilitate the location. Tell the nature of the accident to the operator to direct the event for those who will be sent to help. Never make a false call to the 112 number. They are there for real emergencies. Once you’re all right, do not forget to let friends and relatives know about the incident. If it’s a serious crisis, report the Embassy and the Consulate of your country as soon as possible.
